A needs assessment is a way to identify priorities and make improvements to your organization. Please think about how you will collect either quantitative or qualitative data for your survey.

Time is allocated here for you to begin conducting independent research of your selected Needs Assessment topic within a facility where you have made arrangements to do so. When conducting your research be sure to use the information that you have read from the McCawly, Rouda and Kusy, and the Office Of Migrant Education articles.

Make sure your survey questions are relevant to the outcome you are measuring. For example, if your needs assessment doesn’t require marital status, don’t ask for it.

Step 1. Create a document with the survey questions you have chosen or created. Identify it as either quantitative or qualitative. No data on the survey is required until Week 6. Use the following naming convention when saving your document: “FirstLastName_NA Survey Instrument”
